Ryan McKern

Check out that sweet barrel distortion on my forearms. They're bigger than my head!

What's all this then?

My name is Ryan McKern, and when I'm not knee deep in fixing other peoples problems, I like to fiddle around with cameras. In late December of 2008 a Mr. Gordon Ryan and I discussed photo blogs. A week later, having found Gallery too heavyweight for what I had in mind, I found PixelPost and evilskull.com was re-commissioned for the cause.

Camera Info

I predominantly shoot with a Nikon D50 and a Nikkor 35mm f/2.0D AF-S lens. It's a bit of a change as I previously shot on a 35mm Canon Rebel with a 50mm f/1.8 prime as my go-to walking around lens; some of those old negatives have made their way here.

Periodically there may also be a quick snapshot from my iPhone or my old Nikon CoolPix. While not a hard-core photo gear-head (and at best a barely-competent unpolished photographer) I am always in search of a new way to look at the world around me.
